The company's brand reproduces the portrait of Luca Marenzio, a famous composer and acclaimed author of renaissance madrigals, born in Coccaglio in 1553 just in the place where the winery is located.
In his honour Montorfano De Filippo has baptized its Franciacorta of excellence "Franciacorta Satèn Luca Marenzio".

THE WINERY AND THE TERRITORY

The winery was founded in 1913 by the grandfather of the present owner and winemaker Domenico De Filippo. The ancient cellars for the vinification and aging of the wines are located at the foot of Mount Orfano, in the ancient village centre of Coccaglio, which was a medieval castle, built on the ruins of the ancient Roman castrum.

THE WINES

The winery distinguishes itself by the production of Franciacorta in the versions Brut, Rosé and Satèn, besides the successful white and red Curtefranca.
The Muffito stands out from among the other wines. It is the flagship of the company, obtained from the vinification of grapes affected by Noble Mould (Botrytis cinerea).
